Michael Bay Releases Vehicle Pics From Upcoming Transformers Film!
May 31, 2013 by wolfman
It looks like the new Transformers movie is getting off to a good start, as director Michael Bay has posted pictures of some of the newly revamped Autobots in their vehicle mode along with some other new characters. Judging by the way Optimus looks now, it makes me wonder if he'll be more bulky / armored-up as he was in the Transformers: Fall of Cybertron game. Guess we'll just have to wait and see as more information (and hopefully more cool images) become available as the untitled film is slated to hit theaters next summer. You can check out the rest of pictures in high resolution at Michael's Flickr page HERE!
First Look At Marvel's Avengers Assemble Series Trailer!
May 23, 2013 by wolfman
While many are disappointed (myself included) that Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes is gone, Marvel does have a new series based off the iconic comic book team in Avengers Assemble. After viewing the trailer, it's painfully obvious they're cashing in on last year's Avengers film, but it feels like it's lacking the same "oomph" as Earth's Mightiest Heroes. I can only hope this show does well when it premieres this Sunday May 26th on Disney XD. Until then, enjoy the trailer!
Star Wars: Rebels Animated Series Coming To Disney XD In Fall 2014!
May 21, 2013 by wolfman
While fans may be sad that the Star Wars: Clone Wars series has ended, a new show titled Star Wars: Rebels is coming to Disney XD next fall. The series will take place during the two decades between Episode III and Episode IV of the movies, as a new Darth Vader and the Empire expand their hold on the galaxy while hunting down scattered Jedi and the newly formed Rebel Alliance. If the series is anything like the recently aired Tron: Uprising show on Disney XD, fans of Clone Wars and the franchise are in for a real treat in the fall of 2014. Thanks to USA Today!
Sony Teases PlayStation 4 In Blurry Video - Full Console At E3 2013
May 20, 2013 by spiffy

In an obvious bid to undercut Microsoft's big 'Next Xbox' announcement tomorrow, Sony released a mini-teaser showing off blurry quick-shots of their new hardware, the PlayStation 4. There's not much here but at least it's here. The big promise of Sony's new cube is that we'll be seeing everything in a few short weeks at E3, and we'll be on-hand soaking up all the next-generation fun firsthand (or hands, if the controllers end up being wacky).

It is what it is, but it looks like we'll be seeing the full PlayStation 4 hardware come E3 2013. We'll see you there.

Latest Pacific Rim Trailer Shows Off Plenty Of Giant Mechs And Monsters!
May 16, 2013 by wolfman
Hard to believe we're just mere months away from one of this year's summer blockbusters in Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim. This trailer goes into more detail about the plot, which involves the human race creating giant mechs to take on just as big creatures that are rising from the oceans all over the world. Enjoy the trailer, and get ready to go big on July 12, 2013!
Sony Teams With Rovio For Angry Birds Movie In Summer 2016!
May 15, 2013 by wolfman
While it would've been nice to have this happen sooner than later, Rovio is finally moving ahead with a 3D animated film based off their infamous Angry Birds games, with Sony Pictures Entertainment having exclusive worldwide distribution rights. There currently isn't a plot for the title, but the film is being developed, produced, and financed in-house by Rovio Entertainment and is slated for a July 1, 2016 release. More information on this future hit movie will be posted as it comes. Thanks to Deadline.com!
Gran Turismo 6 Hits This Holiday Season, Demo Coming In July!
May 15, 2013 by wolfman
The Gran Turismo series has always been one of the best racing game experiences out there. Now the latest entry in the franchise, Gran Turismo 6, looks to continue that tradition this holiday season when it's released. Though gamers won't have to wait that long to get their hands on it, as a demo will be coming to PSN sometime in July. The title is set to include all the vehicles and tracks from its predecessor, as well as a ton of all new content that's sure to keep any gamer's engine revving for quite some time. 24 Finally Returns With A Twelve Episode Miniseries In May 2014!
May 13, 2013 by wolfman
I absolutely love 24, as it's one of the greatest TV shows ever. And after so many failed attempts to make a movie follow-up to the series when it ended three years ago, Fox is finally bringing the show back in May 2014 with a twelve episode miniseries titled 24: Live Another Day. Instead of each episode representing an hour of real time, the new series will feature hours of time going by per episode, which is sure to make the show more action packed than ever as it jumps around from one situation to another. I for one can't wait for the series to return in May 2014, as it feels like it can't come soon enough. Thanks to Entertainment Weekly!
Disney To Use Marvel Rights For The First Time In Animation With Big Hero 6, Releases Early Test Footage!
May 09, 2013 by wolfman
It took them long enough, but Disney is looking to make use of their Marvel Comics rights for the first time in animated form with their upcoming action comedy, Big Hero 6. Inspired by the 1998 Marvel miniseries Sunfire & Big Hero 6, the plot follows brilliant robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who finds himself in the grips of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy the fast-paced, high-tech city of San Fransokyo. With the help of his robot companion named Baymax, Hiro joins forces with a reluctant team of rookie crime fighters to save their city and quite possibly the entire world. Judging by the CG test footage, it looks like it should turn out to be pretty interesting. We'll post more info as it comes, but mark your calendars for this 3D event on November 7, 2014!
Edgar Wright Teams With Simon Pegg And Nick Frost Again In The World's End Teaser Trailer!
May 09, 2013 by wolfman
I'm a huge fan of the British comedy film. Hot Fuzz. So when I learned that director Edgar Wright was teaming up with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost for their latest film, The World's End, I had to post the trailer and news. The story follows five childhood friends who reunite after twenty years to make a journey to to a legendary pub called The World's End, which they tried to do twenty years back but never made it. On their way to the pub, they learn that aliens are trying to take over the world and must fight their way through them to save the planet, and make it to their drinks. Enjoy the teaser, and be sure to keep your drinks safe from aliens when the film lands in the states on October 25, 2013!
