God Of War Collection Brings High-Definition Kratos To Life On PlayStation 3
August 31, 2009 by mruniversal

With the knowledge that the highly-anticipated release of God of War 3 for the PlayStation 3 has been pushed into 2010, what's the next best thing for Kratos fans this year? Why, with God of War Collection, of course!

As most PS3 consoles don't support backwards-compatability, Sony helps ease the pain of a GoW-less holiday season with this special 2-game compilation of enhanced PlayStation 2 classics on one Blu-ray disc. God of War 1 & 2 get the full high-defintion treatment, complete with smoother visuals, 60 frames per second, and will run in 720p HD (1280 x 720 resolution). Also included in the package is full PlayStation trophy support, which should help give the older titles a new life in this age of online completion and (naturally) bragging rights.

While no specific release date is mentioned, look for God of War Collection to hit the PlayStation 3 in time for a lucrative holiday shopping season for the SRP of $39.99.  All this is but a precursor to the release of God of War 3, which is still scheduled to render vengeance on PS3 consoles March 2010.
