Looks like GoW2 on steroids, which isn't a bad thing considering how good that game was. While Resident Evil 5 prepares to debut on the XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 next month, there could be a new edition of the series coming for the Wii. Resident Evil 5 producer Masachika Kawata says in a Eurogamer interview (translated) that he's interested in making a new Resident Evil game for the Wii. Here's the translated quote:
"Personally I would like to create something on Wii in the Resident Evil family. At the moment we don't know and have just been working on RE5, so watch this space."
Well if you ask me, don't be surprised to see Resident Evil 5 itself come to Wii eventually. Capcom didn't resurrect a then 2 year old game like Resident Evil just to add Wii controls for nothing. They were testing the waters for the future of the franchise and through the success of that re-release and the subsequent Wii-exclusive spinoff Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, you can bet your bottom dollar that Wii most definitely receive future consideration from now on.
