Hmm. With all the hubbub and rah-rah about the current generation of videogame machines, it seems that some important information got lost in the mix. Apologies from us for not noticing it sooner but it looks like Microsoft's XBox 360 has surpassed the Atari Video Computer System AKA the Atari VCS (Atari 2600 to its closest friends) as the Best-Selling American-Made Home Console of All Time! What? The 360 outnumbered the 2600? Hard to believe but those numerals are true...at least by the figures we've uncovered.
Let's figure out how many times 2600 goes into 360 next...

The King has passed on but it looks like he's left behind a little bit of himself for all of us. Word has it that Michael Jackson's production company, MJJ Productions, has been working on a videogame based on the iconic entertainer for 'several months'. The game (genre yet undetermined) is said to feature his likeness and actual speech recorded beforehand. It's said to showcase a number of his most iconic hits. As for a release date, all markers point to Christmas 2009 with XBox 360 and PlayStation 3 as the destined platforms.

July 13th was the day the late Michael Jackson was to premiere at London's O2 Arena for the first in a series of farewell This Is It concerts. His sudden death nearly 3 weeks ago dashed not only those plans but also the hearts of his loving fans all around the world. They would never get to see their musical hero do the impossible on stage nor would they get to enjoy the human being he was on Earth. And let me tell you "they" are many. Jackson, a relentless record breaker throughout his over 4 decade long career, sold out over 1 million tickets for his 50 concert set in a mere couple of hours! This unprecedented demand (which could have been even greater should Jackson have chosen to have more shows) bested Prince's record of 21 sold out shows at O2 Arena in 2007. Records made were the biggest audience ever to see an artist in one city, the most amount of people to attend a series of arena shows, and the fastest ticket sales in history. Amazing!
