The Wii series is really blossoming. We've already got Wii Sports, Wii Play, Wii Fit, and even Wii Chess (even though us in North America haven't yet received this one). We've just heard about the brand new Wii Sports Resort. But there's one of the Wii series that keeps getting overlooked.
Remember Wii Music? That orchestra game which lit up the imaginations of onlookers before Wii launched? Well here's some new info fresh from E3...
Wii Music plays a variety of musical instruments from the guitar to the violin to the piano to the drums to the saxophone using a variety of gaming instruments from the Wiimote to the Nunchuck to even the Balance Board. The Balance Board will come in handy for playing the drumset if you'd like to know.
Over 50 instruments to choose from and you get to play along with a wide number of soundtracks. Shigeru Miyamoto even got in on the act playing a saxophone with the Wiimote to demonstrate while sounds of a funky drummer emanated from a representative playing Board and 'Mote. The game with a sextet band of up to 4 human players will be available by the holidays, says the N-team.
Sweet! I now get to expand on my Ocarina of Time N64 controller playing with some new equipment. I might not be a Koji Kondo but I got a little musical talent lurking around.
