Can the world survive a Halo game without the shiny visage of Master Chief? Looks like we're going to find out with the release of Ensemble Studios Halo Wars. Best known for their stunning Age of Empires series of RTS (real-time strategy) games, I'm sure the end result will at least be something to watch out for. But two quesions remain: can even the mighty Ensemble craft a highly-playable, console RTS?
And will hardcore Halo fans set aside their first-person shooter souls to play a game that's more strategy than fragging? Time will tell! Even more gameplay madness after the jump!

E3 Day 02 is bringing even more treats and teases, and thanks to Ubisoft's latest reinvention of the Prince of Persia franchise, add another block to the chopping pile. Completely cell-shaded and looking most awesome, the next installment of the perpetually-swinging action/adventure hits the Xbox 360 and PS3 with oodles of style. Plus, add in some hot Ico-like action and some appropriately rocking music from Sigur Rós, and you've got a stunner.

Along with Nintendo's press conference Sony also has some magic in its bag of PlayStation tricks, if you though Microsoft had a winning combination then we can definately anticipate what this Japanese heavyweight has under the belt at this E3. Powerful Hardware, Visually-stunning games, and plenty of 1080p HDMI goodness? I can already taste it.
Sony's set to debut Tuesday (today) at 11:30am PDT shortly after Nintendo's conference. If you're like me you'll be gunning for Sony to deliver something unlike anything you've ever seen before, or at least something worthy of the name PlayStation 3.

If you throughly enjoyed (or either loathed) Microsoft's happening press conference I should remind you that Nintendo is next on the showcase floor, and I have a optimistic feeling that there is something to look forward to. Don't believe me? What about Starfox? what about F-Zero? I'm not the type to hype but something better be there!
Anyway, Nintendo's press conference starts Tuesday (today) at 9am PDT so be prepared to be shocked and amazed! In the meantime try and get some sleep will ya?!

In face of the latest news from Nintendo about motion-augmenting Wiimote add-ons comes this grapevine wine: IGN.com is playing the telephone game with rumors from "trusted insiders" about Nintendo releasing a newer, EVEN SLIMMER DS. And hey, wait, that ain't all, kid. The trust says that this new DS revamp will cost under $100!
There's more...

Choices, choices, If you took a glimpse at Street Figther IV character roster you might actually be suprised at the number of world warriors to choose from, well in the arcade scene it's quality over quantity but from a console standpoint you can easily have both. Extra characters have always found their way into home releases, consider this and yourself: what additions did I want to see, well ask yourself no more because Capcom is letting you, the people choose.
That's right Capcom is letting the people choose between eight Street Fighter favorites that aren't in the arcade version, if you have love for Cammy (like everyone else) or can't resist the charm that Dan radiates you'd do well in heading over to the Street Fighter IV polls immediately!
Because if you don't vote you will most certainly die, or something P.Diddy said about elections.
What's that you say? Not going bonkers for the upcoming adapation of comic-god Will Eisner's adaptation (by way of fellow comic-god Frank Miller) of his seminal work, The Spirit? All this talk of Batman and some Dark Knight keeping you away? Shame On You! What, with Nazi Samual Jackson and all sorts of psychodelic imagery floating around, its not something your brain should be without today. Take a sip.
So take a click on the suspiciously cropped (...) picutre of Ms. Mendes as Sand Saref for all the action you can handle. Batman can wait a few minutes, and nobody knows how long this link will be up. Get it while its hot!!
Hey Popzara fans! It's your favorite Black Luigi here, John Lucas, and I'm here to add my contributions to our new feature called Popzara Blogs. You'll see more bite sized nuggets of the madness that is my mind here as opposed to the essay-like ramblings you're used to seeing from me on the main site. But I'll do my best to keep it funny and entertaining for you (and at times maybe a little provocative too).
And it's the perfect week to get started with this week's Electronic Entertainment Expo better known to you now as the E3 Media and Business Summit. Lots of stories are popping this week in the world of videogaming so stay tuned. But also don't be surprised if non-gaming material 'popz' up in this little blogspace of mine from time to time. You know I like to keep it interesting. And feel free to share your comments 'cause I love feedback.
Ya dig it? Then keep tabs with all the coo-coo characters on the Weblogs of Popzara!

As the day winds down at E3 today's biggest event had to be the morale shattering announcement of Final Fantasy XIII making its much talked about way onto the Xbox 360, Sony fanboys around the world possibly had a moment of silence for another, yet important title losing its exclusivity for the PlayStation 3.
This realization might be painful to bear but what of Final Fanstasy Versus XIII? According to Shinji Hashimoto of Square Enix plans for Final Fantasy Versus XIII as a PlayStation 3 exclusive haven't changed, of course its been along with FFXIII touted as PS3 only but now that all cards are in the air we'll have to stay hopeful and keep watch.
If anything the console devotees have much to talk about and anticipate such as: What in the world is this title supposed to be about?
So far this year's E3 has been an interesting mix of the expected (price drops, new sequels) and the unexpected (Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox 360? Whoah, baby). But somewhere in the middle lay the most awesome of them all - expected surprises! We all knew Resident Evil 5 was going to look amazing, but this amazing? This incredible?
More action, suspense, and terrifying imagery than ever before...this is Resident Evil taken to the next level. Masked chainsaw-weilding manmen? Check! Bad voice-acting? Double-check! Zombie bikers and plenty of fog to lose yourselves in? Oh you'd better belive that's a big, fat CHECK. Now check it out for yourselves!!
