E3 2008 is on and poppin', y'all! And Nintendo wastes no time in delivering the big news for the anxious fans. You know that franchise Nintendo has that resembles Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls playing with an assortment of stuffed animals? Animal Crossing? Sure you do. Well Nintendo breaks out with this painfully long awaited announcement for inevitable Wii edition of the series:

It's called Animal Crossing: City Folk...and it's set to be a "key holiday release"!

Ooh Yeah! Keep reading...

Graphically, it remains in that Nintendo 64 simplicity but this citified slicker allows you trade your wares at an auction house, go to an academy to check up on what other players are doing, visit your long-necked fashion designer (Gracie, the snooty fashion-forward giraffe), visit the local beauty salon Shampoodle to not only get your hair done but your face done as well...perhaps in the form of a certain Mii you had in mind.

It will utilize Nintendo's online capabilities through the Wi-Fi Connection and WiiConnect 24 to send messages and also pictures to other players between Wiis or even between Wiis, PCs, and cell phones. But the biggest surprise from this game is the introduction of a feature called Wii Speak but I'll go over that in another post.

First it was in a country village, then a town, now we're in a city. Well we're movin' on up! To the Wii side!
