Guns, violence, babes, racist stereotypes, and awesome one-liners? You'd think we were talking about the greatest 80s-era movie ever, but instead we're talking about Boogie, the first-ever 3D film from Argentina and a close spirtual relative of Sin City, by way of Fritz the Cat plus Genndy Tartakovsky. Just know that after watching the debut trailer, yes, it's very real. And yes, you did just see what you saw.
Based on the works of the late Roberto Alfredo Fontananarrosa, the film follows the titular character Boogie, a cold-blooded and ruthless hit man who (as you may have guessed) follows his own rules. I'm not sure if follows is the right word, as the trailer is absolutely overflowing with Boogie breaking every rule imaginable, as well as a few heads. All in a gloriously imaginative mix of 2D/3D animation, color, and originality. This definitely won't be one for the kiddies, but animation fans will kick themselves stupid if they pass this one up.
Definitely not one for the easily offended, which is why you'll have to keep reading to see one of the most brutally offensive, yet entertaining trailers I've ever seen!
