The first traditional update to Street Fighter IV is nearly here, and Capcom isn't wasting any time in getting fans ready for what's sure to be a pure injection of World Warrior fun. Loads of new (playable) characters, backgrounds, bonus levels, and new battle options are but a few of what's in store when Super Street Fighter IV finally hits retail shelves in April.
Capcom has a special treat in store for fans looking to pick up the Xbox 360 version, which will include a special anime from the creators of Afro Samurai (Gonzo). The update has received some guff from devout fans, with some questioning why Capcom has opted to release it as a full retail package, instead of gradual updates via Xbox Live or PlayStation Network. But then, its those very fans who'll be lining up on Day 01 (and probably sooner) to scoop up a 'full retail' copy for themselves come release day. Its an addiction, but a good addiction.
Super Street Fighter IV hits the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on April 27th in North America, April 28th in Japan, and April 30th in Europe. See you guys (and gals) online. Enjoy the trailers!
