Little Big Planet Levels For Sale
July 21, 2008 by johnlucas

Here's a new first in game development. You know that curious platformer/online community game for the PlayStation 3 called Little Big Planet, don'cha? Well, it seems the developers have been listening to kids' dreams from the past 30 years or so.

Did you know that in Little Big Planet not only do you get to design your own playing levels but that you can ALSO get paid for designing them? Whoa! Paid to play games...it's a dream come true!

See how this works by reading on...

I'm going to let Sony Computer Entertainment Europe President and Chief Executive Officer, David Reeves, explain all the fine details:

"What we're trying to do with LittleBigPlanet is almost iTunes meets eBay in the sense that once an individual or a developer has qualified by producing certain levels or certain add-ons, they will then be able in the future to exchange these and make money out of them. Eventually, it's feasible that you might well see the first LittleBigPlanet millionaire!"

And there's more! Listen:

"Even if you charge less than one euro, it doesn't take many downloads if you've got a really strong LittleBigPlanet level for people to be able to make money. It's a great way for people to show others what they can do."

So not only is there a player-centric marketplace but the pricing is also set by the players? At last, playing games has become a home business! Lots of very creative folks out there in the world without the means or recognizance to work with. Now for the simple investment in a PlayStation 3, a person can potentially stage design his or herself into wealth. This innovative maneuver might come in VERY handy in these bleak economic times.

Thanks all at PS3Fanboy.com
