Well, here's a shocker. Actually, not really, as Microsoft has brought many of their Xbox Live features to Apple's iOS iDevice family (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad) with a free App designed to let you check out your Gamerscore, customize your Avatar, and even check out the latest and greatest Xbox Live games. About the only thing you can't do is actually play games -
The official iTunes summary goes like this:
"Track and compare your achievements, connect with your Xbox LIVE friends, and change up your 3D Avatar. Review all your recent great games you and your friends love to play and compare achievements with them."
It only makes sense that Microsoft would bring many of their popular Xbox Live services to devices other than their own, especially since their tiles-based Windows Phone update, released last year, hasn't quite lit the mobile world on fire. It's nice to see them embracing other platforms, and I wouldn't at all be surprised to see an Android version popping up in the near future. Until then, iOS users looking to bring their Xbox Live X-Perience with them should check out the My Xbox LIVE App over at iTunes right HERE!
