Words like 'buzzworthy' I hate. So I'll refer to the upcoming Mirror's Edge game from Electronic Arts as 'sensational stunna'. Hmm, maybe that's too much but let's just say the game looks promising and at the very least interesting, how 'bout that? Anyway, not missing an opportunity to catch a train before it choo-choos out of the station, DC Comics (Detective Comics with the redundant aftertitle) plans on turning the game into a 6-part comic series.

DC's Wildstorm imprint will be in charge of the publication, the series' illustrator will be Matthew Don Smith, and the writing will be taken care of by Rhianna Pratchett who also wrote the script for the game (other game storywriting credits include PS3's Heavenly Sword and cross-platform title Overlord). The story covers game heroine Faith history before the time period of the game and fleshes out details on what the city she operates in is all about.
First issue was available for preview to the San Diego Comic-Con International goers last weekend. And as for the game itself? It comes out on November 11th on the XBox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC.
Reflecting quality, it's Wired.com.
