Sony Buys Out Streaming Game Company Gaikai To Create Cloud-Based Services!
July 02, 2012 by wolfman
In a bold move that will allow them to enter into the world of cloud-based services, Sony announced recently that it plans to purchase a game streaming service called Gaikai for $380 million. No other details were given, but it's pretty certain that this will allow Sony to bring cloud storage and game streaming to the PlayStation 3 and Vita systems. It will be interesting to see how the company will use this to not only better their game devices, but also their other electronics such as their TV's and computers. Thanks to Joystiq!
