NPD: October 2008's Top 20 Software (Console and PC)
November 17, 2008 by johnlucas

Do you all enjoy those monthly NPD reports I put out? I hope so 'cause I try to make it fun to read just for you. But you know the clandestine National Purchase Diary Group, Incorporated. Clinging to numbers and parcelling them out bit by bit at their whim to show the gaming press who's boss. They and ONLY they are the keepers of commercial wisdom. Eh, what're you gonna do?

But just recently NPD put out the Top 20 game sales list for both consoles and personal computers for October. Wanna take a look at 'em? Then click on the 'Read More' thingy and find out...

Unfortunately unlike the Top 10 lists you all have been getting accustomed to, the Top 20 lists only show rankings not sales tallies. Number 11 could have sold 150,000 while Number 12 might have sold 50,000 but we'll never know the difference so use your imagination as you see the rankings. Still keep in mind, that sales success is not always seen by who ranks in the Top 10. Often the mainstays of the ranks under the radar quietly collect for their companies to the shock of those who can't understand the duration of titles like Carnival Games.
