In face of the latest news from Nintendo about motion-augmenting Wiimote add-ons comes this grapevine wine: IGN.com is playing the telephone game with rumors from "trusted insiders" about Nintendo releasing a newer, EVEN SLIMMER DS. And hey, wait, that ain't all, kid. The trust says that this new DS revamp will cost under $100!
There's more...
The new rumored DS will not include the Game Boy Advance slot and may have accelerometer-operated cartridges, the likes of which Activision is trying to produce on their own.
We might be hearing this rumor about DS Anorexic confirmed later this week as Nintendo continues their displays at the current E3 event. If true, this'll most certainly add nitro to Nintendo's Japan DS sales since compact is the way to go over there. And no doubt create a new DS shortage which in turn creates more demand because of the rare jewel factor. Hint to Nintendo: up the Wii production! It's been about 2 years now! I think we've had enough of shortages by now.
