If juicy red DSi consoles aren't your thing (and why not?), it looks like Nintendo is taking all that leftover black finish and applying it to their Wii consoles. We've all seen the fabled Black Wii console since the very start, but now the company is making it official. Hitting Japanese retailers August 1st, the Black (Kuro) Wii comes packing likewise black Wiimote, Nunchuk, and even the new Classic Controller Pro. No word yet if the black finish will match the corresponding DSi's interesting texture.
No word yet on a North American release, but you know its coming. Now with a black Wii, black PS3, and black Xbox 360 (Elite), one could theoretically have a nearly invisible family of current-generation consoles while playing in the dark...spooky! Now where's our Special Edition NES-Style Wii console, Nintendo?
