Futurama fans may soon have something to cheer about.   Rumors have it that the series has been greenlit for 13 new episodes by Comedy Central, no doubt buoyed by the success of the recent DVD films.  Also, rumor has it that production offices for the show have already opened and that casting is moving forward.

After the cancellation and partial resurrection of the series as direct-to-DVD movies, I'm glad things are finally looking up for the series.  Official word should come at this year's ComicCon and we'd all certainly welcome back the world of tomorrow!
