As many predicted, Capcom has finally dropped the release date for the PlayStation 3 version of their upcoming re-release of Marvel vs. Capcom 2, which is now expected to hit the PlayStation Network (PSN) on August 13th. Fans will note this date gives the Xbox Live fans of the game, which sports filter-enhanced visuals and online multiplayer, a full two weeks of practice time in the popular crossover fighting sensation.
PlayStation 3 owners should be used to such timed-exclusives that work against their platform, although Capcom had given anxious fighting fans an exclusive demo of the game (though nearly unplayable) on April 30th. Look for Marvel vs. Capcom 2 to run US $15 when it hits for the PlayStation Network as we get ready to take another ride August 13th! Cheesy!
