Sony Patents PSP-Controlled Car
April 10, 2009 by bvincent

While putting out a lavender Hannah Montana PSP may be pretty awesome to some, Sony has other tricks up their sleeve. Siliconera has unearthed a patent filed by Sony for a tiny, remote-controlled car that would be controlled via the PSP's interface. Can the DS do that? All joking aside, the uses for the car that the company envisioned were a bit less-than-savory. Some possible uses mentioned were utilizing the toy car in order to spy on friends, then uploading the videos/images to an online server. Just a tad stalkerish, eh?

Its more practical (and cooler) use would be used to craft an "augmented reality" racing game where you could, essentially, use the toy car in order to create tracks using your own living room! Too bad this plan hasn't come to fruition yet. The PSP could be making bank, and maybe solving the auto crisis, too!

Thanks to Siliconera for this interesting bit of news.
