With so many developers looking to find their edge among so much competition, remaking a classic license and/or franchise is an easy to way to grab attention - and headlines - from an industry that often forgets its heritage. From classics like A Boy and his Blob to Street Fighter, the quality of such a project relies on the dedication and prowess of those tasked with such an endevor.
Next on the remake circuit is the famed arcade side-scroller Joe & Mac (Caveman Ninja), which took parent-company Data East's Bad Dude concept to prehistoric (and often prehysterical) new levels of anachronistic fun. Like most arcade titles, the game was eventually ported to just about any home/portable platform that could handle it, though much like its lovable heroes, seems to have been lost in history. Brand-new development studio Golgoth Studio will be handling the remake, just as soon as they finish up fellow classic remake, Toki.
