Just when it looks liike Hollywood couldn't scrape at the bottom of the barrel anymore, they keep on trying. There's The Smurfs movie in the works, and now there's another classic Hanna-Barbera franchise being made into a movie, Yogi Bear. The film will feature the voices of Anna Faris, Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake in Warner Bros.' live-action/CG animated movie. Donald De Line and Karen Rosenfelt will produce, Eric Brevig from the recent Journey to the Center of the Earth will direct, and Brad Copeland will write the script.
Faris will portray a documentary filmmaker in the movie, with Aykroyd as Yogi and Timberlake as Boo-Boo, Yogi's diminuative sidekick. No word on who will portray Ranger Smith or if he will be in the film. Does this have the potential to be good or bad? Feel free to comment and let us know if Yogi should steal picnic baskets on the big screen. Thanks to Variety!
