While the upcoming sandbox sequel Saint's Row 2 will feature a genuine, tried-and-true porn star with Tera Patrick (real name Linda Ann Hopkins) it looks like EA will have to settle for sloppy seconds with a sub-C Level imitation. Kim Kardashian, who outside of a 'stolen' sex-tape seems to have little talent other than narcissism, is joining the ranks of the upcoming button-masher Facebreaker boxing game.
Kardashian joins the ranks of EA's (and ex-Microsoft, ex-Sega, and most presumably plenty of future ex's) Peter Moore as another 'celebrity' fighter in the cartoon and overly stylized simulation. I understand that she's got a television show of some sort and is deeply involved in promoting her image, but I just can't shake the icky-icky feeling I have over this whole deal.
Not to sound mean, but merging porn (even third-tier amateur porn) within the fabric of gaming doesn't strike me as an attractive notion for anyone involved. Aren't there other sub-level D-listers out there who are a bit more deserving than shameless hussies who take the hump-hump road to their 15-minutes of fame? Surely there's scores of worthy talent who would no doubt work for half of whatever EA's paying someone like Kardashian to show up for the photo shoot. What's next, Paris Hilton in Soul Calibur 5?
