Because you asked for it, Nintendo is readying the latest - and perhaps most requested - color to their growing box of designer portables with the juicy red DSi, ready to hit Japanese retailers on July 11th.  The company made a brief, but memorable, splash with the Mario-branded DS Lite console last year, but has since settled on more traditional colors for the best-selling portable powerhouse.

No word yet when this juicy number is set to hit North American shelves, but you can bet that it will!
