Nyko's 8X Optical Zoom Case Now Available For Nintendo DSi Cameras!
October 29, 2009 by spiffy

Atlhough professional photographers may scoff at the Nintendo DSi's relatively puny, built-in .3 mega-pixel cameras, the mere fact they exist at all is a boon to anyone who owns the console and loves the occassional snapshot. Also, with the recent addition of being able to upload photos direct from the portable to Facebook, the need for better, bigger images has never been great. Although it doesn't promise to increase the resolution of DSi photos, Nyko's new Zoom Case 8x lens does promise to increase the distance they're taken from.

Featuring a textured-grip case and 8x optical zoom lens (hence the name), Nyko's odd-looking addition to the DSi allows for closer, clearer shots from a distance. Also, the lens itself easily stores in its own case for easy storage, meaning you'll worry less about chips and cracks, and more on trying to look as cool and natural as the model demonstrating the thing (see above).

Nyko tells us that the Zoom Case functions without batteries, and using one will not drain or otherwise sap the DSi's internal battery life. Available now at retailers for just $24.99, Nyko's Zoom Case for Nintendo DSi should be just the thing to make taking photos with the DSi much for entertaining!
