Cryptic Nintendo chief Satoru Iwata teased the bystanders mercilessly with the announcement that new titles from the hard-working Mario and Zelda teams are in development and will be coming to the Wii. Does this mean Mario games like Mario Party 8 and Zelda games like Link's Crossbow Training or does it mean a full-fledged series title like Super Mario Galaxy and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess? Or something else altogether?
Can't know. That's all Iwata-san said. It could just mean the teams are working on new games that don't have anything to do with Marioworld and Zeldaland. Or it could be another of those early teasers that last throughout the life of the system only to launch at the start of the new one much like Twilight Princess for the Gamecube eventually saw life on the Wii. All we know is that they're hard at work so let's keep our fingers crossed. Usually we only get one mega Mario and Zelda title per system so it'll be surprising to see what they have in store.

You knew it was coming...but were you ready? The fully-cinematic (i.e. zero gameplay) trailer for the upcoming smash-hit God of War 3 was shown to cheering fans during the Sony conference at this year's E3 showing. Good thing for Sony, too, because after losing Final Fantasy XIII (exclusivity), do they really need each and every one of these major exclusives!!

Just in, Sony announced that they will be dropping the price of their 80 Gig PlayStation 3 bundle...sort of. As any true Sony PS3 geek knows all too well *sigh*, Sony's disruptive entry into the next-generation market has resulted in a wide variety of different consoles, most of which have been sent to that big arcade in the sky. It looks like the standard 40-gig model may be joining the roster as Sony is aiming to consolidate their recent success and help navigate their future.
The newly minted 80 Gig PlayStation 3 model isn't a retread of the current model, which includes both memory card usage, and good backwards-compatability with PS2 + PS1 gaming. The newly announced 80 Gig model will instead utilize the reduced-cost innards of the standard 40 Gig model, which most likely means zero backwards compatability with PS2, and some PS1. Goodbye memory card slots as well. The good news? Reduced price! The new set is aiming for a $399 price-point, which at this point is the best possible situation for anyone hoping to see an actual price-drop from Sony anytime soon.

Remember Wii Music? That orchestra game which lit up the imaginations of onlookers before Wii launched? Well here's some new info fresh from E3...

One of the Sony PlayStation 3's biggest (and most loved) smashes is about to get a whole lot...smaller! Sizzling up this year's Sony conference at E3, the next chapter in the growing Resistance Fall of Man franchise for the PSP. Aptly named Resistance Retribution, this time around its full-on FPS action (unlike the dreadful Killzone Liberation isometric mess).
More details as they head in!!
It was inevitable. One of the biggest selling points of the Wii since its introduction was that 5 in 1 athletic smorgasbord called Wii Sports. The game that turned many people into players is now getting a sequel.
Nintendo calls it Wii Sports Resort and it comes packaged in with the new Wii Motion-Plus accuracy-aiding add-on (and its new form fitting protective silicone cond...I mean, jacket). Scheduled for a Spring 2009 release, this title takes it to the beach with games like frisbee, jet skiing and fencing making exceptional use of the more accurate add-on. Boy! Nintendo won't be satisfied until I'm using a Wii-styled fork and spoon with all the little peripherals they're putting together. My house will be awash in pearl white but I will be happy nevertheless. Thank God the Wii isn't vomit green!

Nintendo's announcing a lot of big games at E3 2008! So many I almost can't keep them straight. Here's one title that'll scramble your brains for sure. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for the Nintendo DS! GTA on a Nintendo system? Surely you jest. No, no jingle-belled hat on my head.
It's set for release this Winter and has the Gotham-inspired Liberty City as its backdrop. New characters with a custom game-engine but with the "same free ranging game play," according to Nintendo of America President and Chief Operating Officer, Reggie Fils-Aime. It's actually the 2nd GTA on a Nintendo system after the Game Boy Advance's Grand Theft Auto Advance from 2004. Either way, get your stylus ready for some thug action this Christmas!
